Vinita Lobo has been teaching high school Mathematics for 32 years, the first 4 in a public school in upstate New York, and the next 28 at Archmere Academy in Claymont, DE.  She is passionate about helping all students learn Mathematics. Vinita has an MS in Mathematics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, India, and an MA in Mathematics from UCLA.  She was awarded the Barnard Master Teacher Award at Archmere Academy in 2010.  She has served as the Math Department Chair at Archmere for 16 years until 2023, and as an AP Calculus Reader for 8 years since 2012.  Vinita is a Math League coach and has been the State High School Coordinator for Math League since 2018.     Vinita lives in Claymont, DE with her husband.  She has two children who are college graduates and were educated K-12 in Delaware public and private schools.  

I joined DCTM to meet other Delaware Math educators and for professional development opportunities. 

I joined the DCTM Board to serve the Math teacher community in Delaware.  I would particularly like to encourage private and parochial teachers to get more involved in all that DCTM offers.
