I am entering my 28th year of teaching high school math.  I graduated from California University of Pennsylvania with Secondary Math Education and earned my master’s degree in Middle School Mathematics from University of Maryland of Baltimore County.  I began teaching at Queen Anne’s County Public Schools, where I met my wife, Christy.  We currently have a son, Matthew, that currently works in the trade field.  We love spending time camping every moment we can.  Spending time with family is what we like to do the most.   

I was elected to DCTM in 2021 as the High School Representative.  I joined because I want to expand my math knowledge and use to be a member of the NCTM for years.  But I did not last long in that position.  DCTM was looking for a Math League Director in September.  I decided to take the position to have grow the program in the state of Delaware. 

I hope to grow Math League with in the state.  I believe that we need to get the same exposure as our athletes do.  Our students work hard all year, they should have the opportunity to show off their skills.
